Biography

Sadaf Hesamiyan (b. 1986, Tehran) is a painter and printmaker with a background in architecture. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture but later pursued her passion for art, earning an MFA in Painting from Honar University in 2015. Her early works were rooted in both painting and printmaking, and the influence of these disciplines continues to shape her artistic practice.

For Sadaf, art is a way of understanding and responding to life. Her work explores the relationship between emotions, perceptions, and visual expression, creating a dialogue between personal experiences and aesthetic form. She approaches the creative process as a means of self-reflection and discovery, allowing materials and techniques to guide her while embracing the unpredictability of artistic transformation.

Her works, ranging from deeply personal reflections to broader explorations of human emotions, invite the viewer into a space of contemplation. Through layering, abstraction, and organic movement, she captures the fluid nature of thoughts and feelings, offering a visual language that resonates on an emotional level.

Sadaf’s artistic journey continues to evolve, driven by her curiosity and dedication to the transformative power of art.
